AEM V2 Intake Systems utilizes patented dual chamber design to maximize the horsepower and torque gains, and thus, producing even more power than your standard Cold Air systems.
If you have a closer look at the dyno-graph, you'll notice that the area under the power band, or power curve, represents the amount of effort that an engine is producing. In other words, the larger the overall area under the curve, the more power your engine is making! AEM V2 Intake Systems precisely achieves larger area under the curve by using a dual chamber that uses two different diameters and lengths of piping to create multiple frequency sound waves. These sound waves also help in charging the cylinders with more air throughout the entire RPM range and are primarily responsible for AEM V2 Intake Systems outperform even the AEM Cold Air systems.
Perhaps, the most vital role in power production of V2 Systems is played by the inlet length. And it's also true that most V2 Induction Systems do not relocate the filter outside the engine compartment. In such systems, AEM undertakes extensive temperature testing and locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. For more information, you can refer to our temperature testing procedures.
